Oleg ZALIZNYY

During his illustrious sports career, Oleg Vasilyevich Zaliznyy played for rugby clubs in Kyiv, Toulouse (France), Madrid and Barcelona (Spain).

He began his coaching career in 2005, coaching our team in 2009–2010 and 2016–2018.

Igor Mykolajevych Donets, Master of Sports of the USSR, Master of Sports of Ukraine in rugby, referee of the national category in rugby of Ukraine.

· Player of the Ukrainian national rugby 15 and rugby 7 teams (1991–2004).

· Participant of the first ever match of the Ukrainian national team against the Georgian national team (November 1991).

· Winner of the European Championship (Division 2A) in the 2002–2004 cycle — winning a ticket to the elite division of Europe.

Dimitri BASILAIA

By chance and the power of communication, Dimitri, who at one time played for the national team of Georgia, for clubs in France and Scotland, who made an incredible effort for England at the World Cup in 2015, saw something in our team and in 2020 became our coach.

With him, we became the bronze medalist (3rd place) of the Championship of Ukraine 2021 (men's Super League, the highest division).

2024 - Dimitry becomes the coach of the men's national team of Ukraine in rugby-15.

Graduate of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, multiple Champion of Ukraine, player of the national rugby team of Ukraine, one of the best domestic rugby players, Master of Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlovich Korovin.

Anatoliy KOZENKO

Kozenko Anatoliy Grigorovich, master of sports in rugby, team veteran.

He is a kids rugby coach at the Youth Sports School #12 in Kyiv.

He started playing rugby at the age of 14, and at 16 he entered the field as part of the main team of the RC "Polytechnic" Kyiv, which at that time played in the 1st League of the USSR Championship.

As part of "Polytechnic", he was a seven-time champion of Ukraine, a silver and bronze medalist, and a multiple winner of the Ukrainian Cup.

He played for the Ukrainian national team since 1991 and played his last game in 2003 at the age of 35.

In 2000-03, he was the head coach of the main team of the RC "Polytechnic" Kyiv.

Throughout his sports career in Ukraine, he played only for the RC "Polytechnic" Kyiv and the Ukrainian national team as a "hooker".

Leonid Denbnovetskyi

Coaching career

  • Since the fall of 1968, he has been the second coach of the Dynamo Kyiv team. In 1969, he became the Champion of Ukraine with the team he trained as a coach.

  • In 1970, he was invited to the position of senior coach of the Polytechnic team of KPI.

  • 1971 - 2nd place in the championship of the Ukrainian Council of the DZH "Burevisnyk". Ukrainian Championship - 5th place (out of 8 teams).

  • 1972 - the championship of the Ukrainian Council of the DZH "Burevisnyk" - 1st place. Ukrainian Championship - 3rd place (out of 8 teams).

  • 1972-1976. Studied at the Kyiv Institute of Physical Culture (coach-teacher).

  • 1973 – DSO “Burevisnik” – first place, Ukrainian Championship – 2nd place, after which the team won the right to play in the First League of the USSR Championship, where it took second place out of 8 teams

  • 1974: Champions of DSO “Burevisnik”. Ukrainian Championship – 3rd place.

  • 1975-1977: Senior coach of the junior team “Polytechnic” KPI.

  • 1976: First place in the Ukrainian Championship and second place in the USSR Championship among juniors (out of 8 teams)

  • 1977: Ukrainian Championship - first place, USSR Championship - 3rd place

  • 1978-1980: Senior coach of the team “Sokil”-Lviv. During this period, the team from the 10th place in the First League got to the Higher League of the USSR Championship.

  • 1981-1994: Head coach of the Polytechnic team-Kyiv. During this period, the team became Champions of Ukraine 5 times, took 2nd place 7 times, 3rd place - 2 times.

  • From 1993 to 1995: Head coach of the National Team of Ukraine.

  • 1996-1999: Coach of the Polytechnic student team. Senior lecturer of the Department of Sports Improvement of KPI

  • 2000-2003: Senior coach of the Air Force team (Air Force Academy of Ukraine). In 2001-2002, the team took Second places in the Higher League of the Championship of Ukraine.

  • 2004-2013: Coach of the Polytechnic youth team. During this period, the team took place in the First League of the Ukrainian Championship: 1st place – 4 times, 2nd place – 3 times.

  • 2014: Denbnovetsky L.V. began recruiting children for the created children's and youth team "KSK-DYUSSH Irpin" at the training base of the DYUSSH in Irpin, Kyiv region.
