Great Support from The Netherlands. Thank you, our dear Dutch friends, for the great time on the pitch, good game and your stunning support to Ukraine.

The Dutch charity ProtectUkraine.nl, founded by Dutch rugby players, supports Ukrainian military rugby players and more.

On their next visit to Ukraine, they suggested that we hold a friendly veterans' tournament between veterans and military rugby players from the Polytechnic Rugby Club Kyiv and their veterans from the ASRV Ascrum Rugby Club Amsterdam, which, by the way, was also once a mostly student team.

On their next visit in October 2024, they brought four-wheel drive SUVs, a minibus, battery-powered motorcycles, medical kits, sleeping bags... and a film crew to shoot a documentary.

Some interviews with our rugby players have already been broadcast on Dutch television in a report about this visit and the general support for Ukraine, which has not faded away.

One of the former rugby players, who currently serves in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, noted in an interview that it would be very difficult without the help of such volunteer organizations.
